This ONESIGHT cause is important to me because I can personally relate to the drastic handicaps that come hand-in-hand with refractive errors. Though my myopia was developed through years of "bookworm" habits and video game addiction, I can understand the physical implications of poor eye-sight because I have made the "elemental" transition to varsity athleticism. I experienced firsthand the difficultly of running 200m to 5000m races and of launching javelins with unassisted poor eyesight. I know the embarrassment from passing the soccer ball to the opposing team because of astigmatism. And now I know  of the relief and joy of  wearing contact lenses to play the sports I love.
